What is Leap Ahead Pre-School?
Leap Ahead Pre-School is an interactive reading program for families and children from the ages of 3 to 5 years old.
What is a Dialogic Reading Program?
Children learn best when they able to make meaningful connections to a story. From a young age, they listen to the people around them read stories, newspapers, letters, etc. A Dialogic Reading Approach takes reading further and allows the child to play an active part of the reading process. Parents ask questions and prompt kids to become part of the text (as reader) and elaborate on their cognitive skills. You will have the opportunity to experience just what a Dialogic Reading Program looks like and why is such an important part in teaching your Pre-Schooler how to read.
Books and Activities
To make reading the story more meaningful, you and your child will be involved in activities/crafts and lessons that go along with a book that you will get to take home and practice.

Open Discussions
Open discussion is a time to ask questions you may have about developmental milestones, or an activity, book, or craft from the session. It is also a time to get to know the other parents and children that are here as well.
